I wonder if there is an official stat out there as to the percentage of PC Gamers that are employed in some way in the IT industry. Most of the people I meet in MMO's are making there living as a tech in real life.
The level of competency to use a PC and sometimes get a game to work isn't your average emailer, websurfer. Most people can't be bothered to spend 45 minutes to get a game to work. Consoles are way more attractive to the average consumer. Parents can buy that video game for their kid and keep them off of their PC. Couple this with the "Console exclusive" titles and game publishers concerned with lost revenue due to piracy makes the PC a niche market for games.
I don't see it a the death of the PC, as this has been predicted countless times, but I do still seee it becomming more of an enthusiasts pastime in regards to games.

That's pretty depressing. In regards to BioShock, I've heard a lot of complaints and problems with the copy protection software they use. Mainly a problem with installing it on multiple machines, or even your own machine a second time if you removed it incorrectly. I should be reinstalling my copy soon so hopefully I don't have any issues with it.
