XR Training Simulations

While working at the Virtual & Augmented Reality Lab at Conestoga College I lead the development of training simulations for various programs. As part of their curriculum students would go through our simulations to understand things such as how to inspect a transport truck and trailer, operate a hydraulic lift, or efficiently rescue victims of a house fire.

In this role I had a lot of direct reports and spent most of my time doing pull request reviews, devops, and architecting the more advanced systems these sims ran on.

In times of need I would also put on my artist hat and help the art team out. With my generalist background I was able to contribute heavily to the art in the trucking and backhoe inspection simulations in between my other duties.

Simulations were made in C#/Unity using WebGL and SCORM for the flat-screen experiences. VR simulations were made for the VIVE Cosmos headset and would run off a linked PC.
